What is life coaching?
Coaching is focused on the present and future and is more action-oriented.
Some people do not want to deal with emotional or family history issues. They just
want to know what changes to make to improve their current situation today and in
the future. The main function of a coach is to give guidance, structure and motivation.
Therapists and Counselors work at uncovering the past—understanding the client's
emotional history and possible past psychological trauma—in order to enable the
client to move forward.
If emotional and psychological issues are preventing you from accomplishing
basic daily activities, you should be treated by a licensed professional rather
than a life coach.
Coaching and therapy are complimentary and a person may benefit the most by
working with a coach and a therapist.

What is life coaching?
Life coaching is a practice of
assisting clients to determine and
achieve personal goals, whether the
goals are in personal or family
relationships, career, finance or life
purpose. A coach will use a variety of
methods, tailored to the client, to
move through the process of setting
and reaching goals. Coaching is not
targeted at psychological illnesses, and
coaches are not therapists.
